Oilers Head Home with 2-0 Deficit

Florida Panthers Take Control of Series

The Edmonton Oilers are now facing a 2-0 deficit in the Stanley Cup Final after dropping a 4-1 decision to the Florida Panthers in Game 2 on Wednesday night.

The Oilers were outplayed by the Panthers in all aspects of the game, as Florida controlled the pace of play and dictated the terms of engagement. The Panthers scored two goals in the first period and added two more in the third period to take a commanding lead in the series.

Connor McDavid scored the lone goal for the Oilers, who now head home for Game 3 on Friday night. The Oilers will need to find a way to generate more offense and tighten up their defense if they want to avoid falling into a 3-0 hole in the series.
