Palmer Candy Company Recalls Products Nationwide
Affected Products Sold at Major Retailers
Recall Includes Pretzels, Cookies, and Other Coated Items
Palmer Candy Company has issued a nationwide recall of select candy and snack products due to potential contamination. The affected products include coated pretzels, cookies, and other items sold at Walmart, Target, Dollar General, and other retailers across the United States.
According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the recall was initiated after samples of the products tested positive for Salmonella. Salmonella is a bacteria that can cause foodborne illness, resulting in symptoms such as fever, diarrhea, and abdominal cramps.
The recalled products were distributed nationwide in 17 states. Consumers are advised to check their homes for any of the affected products and discard them immediately. A complete list of the recalled products and their corresponding codes can be found on the FDA website.
